Relief Grants Granted to Shops Located in Government Venues in Hong Kong
Shops based in government venues in Hong Kong will be happy to hear they are set to receive a one-off relief grant.
The relief grants will be given to fast food kiosks and light refreshment operators. Retail outlets will also be eligible for these grants. The grants fall under the Government’s sixth round of the Anti-epidemic Fund.
$30,000 in Grants for Selected Retailers
Bike kiosks, gift shops, pro shops, and museum book shops are also eligible to receive grants. Performing arts shops are also included on the list for the one-off $30,000 grant. These venues were among those that had to close temporarily since January 7 as part of the anti-epidemic measures enforced by the Government.
Venues and operators that did not have to suspend their business operations temporarily will be given a one-off $15,000 grant. Applications will be open until 13 May.
Operators who are eligible for the relief grant include those who hold valid contracts with the department. The contracts must be valid at the time of submitting the application. The operators should also still be running their business at the time of application.
Eligible operators can submit applications to the relevant cultural venues or district leisure service offices. Grants will be disbursed within a month of the application deadline.
