Applications Now Open Under Third Round of Anti-epidemic Fund
Hong Kong is now opening applications for the Fitness Centre Subsidy Scheme. A one-off subsidy of $50,000 is provided under this scheme for eligible applicants.
The Fitness Centre Subsidy Scheme falls under the Hong Kong Government’s third rollout of its anti-epidemic funding. Fitness centres in the country have had to suspend operations from 15 July to 3 September because of the worsening COVID-19 situation. This scheme is aimed at providing fitness centre operators with some funding relief.
To be eligible for this scheme, you must have a fixed address of operations. Your business must include providing exercise equipment and machines on-premise. Other services include providing training and instruction for physical fitness improvement. This includes yoga, dancing, bodybuilding, martial arts, and pilates.
Deadline for the applications will close 18 November. Applications will be assessed based on the provided information. To avoid processing delays, it is important that you ensure all the information submitted is accurate.
Further details about the Fitness Centre Subsidy Scheme and the applications are available on the Hong Kong Home Affairs Bureau website. Application forms can be downloaded directly from there. For any queries, you may email su********@ho****.hk or call 2389 3538.
